Dr. John Ward

Dr. Ward is a board certified ophthalmologist who has been practicing ophthalmology in Wake County for 20 years. Dr. Ward completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 1985. He graduated with honors from medical school at the University of Oklahoma in 1981. Dr. Ward is an assistant clinical professor at the UNC Department of Ophthalmology, the former division chief of Ophthalmology at Rex hospital, and the former chairman of the department of surgery at Western Wake Hospital. Dr. Ward grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma and completed his undergraduate studies at Oklahoma State University.

Dr. Robert Stone

Dr. Stone completed medical school at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 1994 and his ophthalmology residency at UNC in 1998. He grew up in Wilson, N.C. and now lives in Cary. After practicing in Rocky Mount, N.C. for one year Dr. Stone joined Wake Ophthalmology in 1999. Dr. Stone completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia.

Dr. Christopher S. Rusinek

Dr. Rusinek is a board certified ophthalmologist who is fellowship trained in corneal disease and refractive surgery. Dr. Rusinek finished his fellowship at the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, and has been practicing in the triangle since 2006. Dr. Rusinek completed his residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and completed an internal medicine internship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He graduated in the top third of his class from Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Rusinek grew up in Plymouth, Michigan and earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Rusinek is dedicated to providing compassionate and quality eye care and welcomes new patients.
